since i'm relatively new (as in i first watched Buffy in like, 2015 or something) to Buffy, i have a REALLY hard time finding the kind of fics i want, so, maybe you all can help me??

1. ANGEL FICS. fics centered around Angel, or where he plays a huge part in it. please no Angel/Cordelia, or Angel being a dick. i'm fine with Spuffy, as long as Angel isn't a dick ;a;
2. this is more specific, so: Angel whump fics. fics where Angel is hurting or is in pain, or anything like that. i'd love fics where some of he shit he goes through gets brought up again; like him being tortured in hell for who knows how long, or him being stuck at the bottom of the ocean.
3. fics where Giles is awesome.

Have you read any of

velvetwhip's fiction? She writes a lot of Angel fiction. Her most frequent pairing is Angel/Willow, but she's also written some Buffy/Angel and Spike/Angel. Her masterlist is here (http://velvetwhip.livejournal.com/1350681.html) and broken down by pairings.

Off the top of my head, her fics where Angel is most sympathetic are Best Laid Plans (Angel/Willow), In the Shadow of the Dead (Under the Angel/Willow category, but is friendship only), Come Pouring Down Unified (Angel/Willow, Buffy/Spike), and In Days of Auld Lang Syne (Angel/Willow).

Hmmmm - Angel isn't a dick fics. My Just a Summer Romance has Angel coming through like a champ for Buffy and Spike (even if he isn't happy about it at first) but he is with Cordy, so... Also The Eve of Destruction is set in AtS season 5 and he's the main survivor there. There May Be Complications is a semi-humorous look at Angel and Spike during AtS season 5. Those are all on my LJ and/or my website. Hope you find something you like.
