find_buffy_recs | Recent Entries

Hello!

Per request, I made a find_buffy_recs backup journal here on DW. I just started the importing process and it will take some time.

I have already created one for Seeking_Spike

The rules here will be the same as the rules for both communities on LJ (available in the profile).

I can import all current entires from from the LJ community, but it's not possible to crosspost any new posts (the crossposter is only available for personal journals).

The best I can do is periodically re-import the new entires from LJ.

If there are any issues, please let me know at copykween @ aol.com

I'm looking for stories where the characters are animals, like in the all-penguin AU. Spuffy for preference, but really I just want to know what kinds of Buffyverse animals are out there. :) Stories where someone gets temporarily turned into an animal work too (I already know of Narwhal!Spike, Howler monkey!Buffy and Cat!Spike). Thanks!

since i'm relatively new (as in i first watched Buffy in like, 2015 or something) to Buffy, i have a REALLY hard time finding the kind of fics i want, so, maybe you all can help me??

1. ANGEL FICS. fics centered around Angel, or where he plays a huge part in it. please no Angel/Cordelia, or Angel being a dick. i'm fine with Spuffy, as long as Angel isn't a dick ;a;
2. this is more specific, so: Angel whump fics. fics where Angel is hurting or is in pain, or anything like that. i'd love fics where some of he shit he goes through gets brought up again; like him being tortured in hell for who knows how long, or him being stuck at the bottom of the ocean.
3. fics where Giles is awesome.

I'm looking for a specific fic (the name I cannot remember), but also any fic like it.

So the fic I'm looking for is Xander was made insane and turned by Angelous instead of Drusilla (who I think never existed in this universe). He had a red headed friend, and because of that is becoming obsessed with Willow when they reach Sunnydale to find a cure.

I also would like any fic with an insane Xander, doesn't have to be him as a vampire, but just him struggling with reality.

So what I'm looking for with this particular request are some fics where Tara comes back into Willow's life post series and Kennedy has to deal with that or where Kennedy has to deal with the "ghost" of tara either actually ghost or just everyone comparing the two of them. I'm looking for stories where Tara comes between Willow and Kennedy either physically or spiritually, if that makes any sense.

Hi, I'm looking for good well written fics where buffy is a vampire and with Spike. I'm looking for ones like Carnival of Fools where Buffy has been a vamp for a long time. Either where she takes the place of Dru in canon or maybe is turned by spike before Sunnydale. So really any vamp buffy fics where she isn't turned in canon era sunnydale. Thanks in advance.

I've got a story where Dru turns a watermelon. I have another where Anya had created a pumpkin demon in her vengeance days. Three more stories and I'll have some kind of category for next year's Buffyverse Top 5. Any recs? Any category suggestions for these two?

Okay, Buffyverse Top 5 is coming up and I just read a story where Giles owns a coffee shop. I know of another story where Willow works as a barista. So I'm thinking a category of five stories with coffee in them. Know any good fic that fits such a category? I could be encouraged to expand to other beverages. ;-)

Hi guys! Since you were so good at recommending sweet Spangel stories where Angel is good to Spike, I thought I'd ask you for some Spander help. I'm a sucker for a long-time-to-develop-feelings Xander POV where Xander wants Spike, woos him, and Spike either has no idea, or the reader doesn't know if Spike knows. I've read a couple of really great examples of this over at http://www.Spanderfiles.com. A perfect example of this is "Its Just a Jump to the Left" by Kimberly A. Fabulous story!! Has me wanting more. But I was wondering, any new or strictly LJ authors write any of these? In so many stories, Spike can smell how Xander feels right away. Takes the mystery out.

Hi! I'm so sorry if this has been asked before. I love Spangel, but notice a trend of Angel or Angelus treating Spike like crap. Either raping, dominating, manipulating, or just being mean. Are there any Angelus/ William fics where Angelus tries to woo William? Are there any where Angel tries to woo Spike? With kind acts? Gifts? Romance? Even if they fight, that's totally ok. But I guess I just get sensitive when Spike gets treated so badly. Do they exist? Btw, I'm so thrilled this group is still around, and that the Buffyverse lives on even 12 years later :-)

I really want to read some domestic spuffy where they have a life away from the scoobies and sunnydale. Something like Dreams and Desotos by BlodShedBaby. I dont mind if they go back to sunnydale, just please no all human or historical and not too much angst. Thank you very much.

Could you rec me All-Human or Supernatural AU fics, that ARE NOT romance stories?
Background relationships are fine, as long as they are not the main focus of the story.

I'm looking for complete AUs, where no canon events ever happened, not just slight-to-medium canon divergence AUs. It's ok if universe is based on the general buffyverse mythology with slayers and vampires, though.

So, for instance, Angel is a P.I. in noir-ish AU slighly inspired by "Maltese Falcon" is the type of story I'm looking for. But What if Buffy didn't have to jump off that tower? is not.

Any ratings, characters and (minor)pairings are fine.
