Time-Traveling Buffy

Hello all!

I love fics where a post-series, very much in love with Spike, Buffy ends up in one of the previous seasons so she can change things for the better. I've read several of that kind, but maybe you can rec me some more?
Those I've read that come to mind at the moment are:

"The Butterfly Effect" (IMHO, the most wonderful fic ever of that kind)
"Prologue to life/I know you" by Slaymesoftly
"What a girl wants" by Tam

So, do you remember some more?

Oh, I've just read Her Way (wonderful!) and I remember your Second Chances got me even a little teary... you really write wonderful stories, I've read almost all of them !!! And I'm sorry I didn't give you some feedback, but I've started doing it only recently (I was kinda shy...)
And I know it's off-topic, but since your stories are so good, and you like time-travel, could you maybe ever think of writing a fic where Buffy time-travels back to when Spike's just been chipped, and so is there for him when he struggles with his new condition, but without telling anybody she's from the future?

I hope you don't get mad that I'm asking this...

*blushes* Thank you for your kind comments. Glad you like my stories Hon I'd never get mad at anyone offering a suggestion. I think your idea is a great one and I'll pop it in my plot bunny hutch (I'm working on no less than 8 stories at the moment...yup, I'm a loon! But I would like to do something like you suggest. I am a sucker for time travel stories and I agree that she would want to give him a hand if she knew what was at stake.).

Not posting at the moment. Learned a lesson with my last WIP when RL ate my computer and then work and family popped up and I wasn't able to do weekly updates. Now I want the stories to be written before I post so I don't drive my readers crazy! I have 8 in the works though and one will HAVE to be completed by May as I will be posting it to seasonal_spuffy LOL. I might finish a shorter one before then.

BTW, one of the stories I am working on is a sequel to Second Chances and though Buffy will be from that time period (the one visited byfuture Buffy in that first story) she WILL be putting her knowledge to use helping Spike find his way.

I absolutely love time travel fics too and hope other people will post. I can't remember too many that are just Buffy going back off the top of my head besides the great fics you mentioned, though I know a couple where the whole gang or both Spike and Buffy go back. I would also check out JackofSpike's "Second Chance" even though more than Buffy are sent back in time; we do get to see knowledgeable, in love Buffy and totally unaware Spike not knowing what to do with her:

I'm sorry, I just looked at "Nothing Like Dreaming" again and found out I was only remembering the first few chapters was when Buffy was back in time, but not... so it wasn't really a time-travel fic. Thought I should warn you.

Thanks for your help! I too hope more people will remember more fics of this kind. Actually I'm trying to make a list of them so I can re-read them whenever I file like it! I've just discovered another one VERY nice,though it's unfinished:

I can't find the title but I remember a fic that sounds like what you're looking for. In it, a very old Buffy is dying in her hospital bed but wakes up in the body of herself when she'd just gotten back from heaven. It's a little silly over how excited she was to have her own teeth and there's a claim involved but I just can't remember which archive posted it!
